Lay Ministry |
| In John 13:34,
Jesus instructs us to love one another as He loves us. Lay Ministry seeks to
carry out that mission and to help others in His name. That help can take many
forms within our congregation, our community, and our world. We provide meals
when a member of the congregation is sick or recovering from a physical or
emotional trauma. Our pantry is stocked with food for the needy who visit the
church, and we supply food and other items to a local food bank and assistance
program. There are numerous opportunities throughout the year to support various
projects that target specific areas of concern. Our resources are generously
supplied by the members of the Christ Lutheran Church congregation, in the form
of cash gifts, food, and other items, as the need arises.

| What is Pantry Sunday? |
 |
The first Sunday of the
month has been designated as Pantry Sunday. The Lay Ministry
Committee works with the Aletheian Christian Foundation in Chino to
Help the less fortunate members of our local community. This
organization accepts any non-perishable food items. In the
past, Pantry Sunday has often had a theme. If you do not bring
your donation in on the first Sunday of the month, feel free to drop
your donations in the small white bin in the back of the church.
We check for donations every week. Thank you for all your
support. |
